Ownership & Guardianship
For the duration of a pet's stay, Tucked Inn Kennels will only communicate with and take direction from the registered guardian or owner on file.

Exclusive Authority:
The owner or guardian listed at the time of booking is the sole individual authorized to make decisions regarding the pet’s care, including but not limited to check-in, check-out, medical decisions, and any changes to the reservation.

Restricted Communication:
No inquiries, instructions, or requests from any other individual—including co-owners—will be acknowledged, responded to, or acted upon, regardless of their claimed ownership status. Repeated attempts to circumvent this policy may result in legal consequences or a permanent refusal of service.

Enforcement:
Any attempt by an unauthorized individual to interfere with the stay, communicate with staff, or obtain information about the pet(s) will be documented and immediately declined. Continued attempts may result in cancellation of any bookings,, refusal of future service, and/or legal action.

Changes to Guardian Status:
Any modification to the designated guardian or owner must be submitted in writing, supported by legally recognized documentation, and is subject to review at our discretion. The review process for any requested ownership changes may take up to 30 days.

Ownership Forms:
A form for changes to any ownership-related matters can be obtained by contacting Tucked Inn Kennels via email. This form will only be provided to registered clients in our database.

Registered Dogs:
For any dog registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), American Kennel Club (AKC), or any other recognized canine registry, Tucked Inn Kennels will only communicate with the official registered owner listed with the CKC, AKC, or others. We reserve the right to request copies of CKC, AKC, or other registration to verify ownership before providing any information or making decisions regarding the dog’s stay.
By booking a stay at Tucked Inn Kennels, the guardian owner agrees to these terms, and all other parties acknowledge they have no authority or access to information regarding the pet’s stay.
Medical Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact the registered owner/guardian using the information on file. If the registered owner/guardian is unreachable, we will act in the best interests of the pet, using the provided emergency contact information.
Final Authority
Tucked Inn Kennels reserves the right to enforce these policies to ensure the safety and privacy of all guests. Any attempts to circumvent these policies may result in the cancellation of services without a refund. Enforcement actions may include issuing warnings, canceling services, or involving legal counsel if necessary.
